Ünal Demirkıran (born June 24, 1979 in Neu-Ulm ) is a German - Turkish soccer coach and former soccer player . In addition to playing in German professional football, the offensive midfielder also played in the Turkish Süper Lig .

career

Demirkıran made his debut as a young talent on September 25, 1999 in the away game of SSV Ulm 1846 at Werder Bremen (2-2) in the Bundesliga , when he was substituted on shortly before the end. He played the first game of his career on August 8th in the second round of the DFB Cup against Fortuna Düsseldorf (2-0). Overall, he came to two Bundesliga appearances. He was also able to collect match practice twice in the second division .

After crashing into the fifth-class association league Württemberg in 2001, Demirkıran remained loyal to the Ulmer Spatzen and became a regular for the first time after five competitive games in the last two years. In 2002, he and the team made it to the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg . There he was successful 13 times in 32 games and was poached by the regional league club VfR Aalen .

In his first season, Demirkiran was one of the top scorers in the league with 15 goals. In the second year only get three hits and when he remained without a hit in the first half of the 2005/06 season, he moved to Turkey for six months to the newly promoted Sivasspor . For the 2011/12 season Demirkıran moved to FV Illertissen in the now fifth-class Oberliga Baden-Württemberg and played 28 games. The club only finished fourth, but switched to the Bavarian Football Association , so that in the next season it was possible to participate in the newly founded, fourth-class Bavarian regional league . There he played in 16 of 19 games in the first half of the season, but only came to one use in the second half of the season. In 2013/14 he played one more season at TSG Thannhausen in the south-west relay of the sixth-class Bavarian regional league before he became youth coach at TSV Neu-Ulm in his hometown . Since 2015 he has been the head coach of the lower-class club, with which he was promoted from the Donau / Iller district league to the Württemberg regional league in 2016 . There he also lined up for a league game again in 2016. After relegation to the district league, he rose directly back to the regional league with the club.

In the summer of 2019 Demirkıran left TSV Neu-Ulm, with whom he managed to stay in the league as 10th in the final rankings, and moved within the state league as head coach to local rivals Türkspor Neu-Ulm, who had been promoted from the district league.
