The StEG II 1301-1313 formed a tank locomotive series of the Staats-Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft (StEG), a private Austrian-Hungarian railway company .

The StEG procured 13 copies as Vd 1301-1313 from 1879 to 1891 from its own locomotive factory . The machines had internal frames and external controls. When the StEG lines in Hungary were nationalized in 1891 , nine of them came to the Hungarian state railway MÁV, which they initially classified as TIV 4261-4269, and finally as 450 series. With the nationalization of the Austrian part, the remaining four came as series 378 to the kk Staatseisenbahnen Österreichs (kkStB).

After the First World War , the Austrian locomotives came to ČSD , which classified them as class 403.3 and decommissioned them in the 1930s. The 403.303 came to a Bohemian sugar factory as a works locomotive and served there until 1965. Today it is in the Jaroměř Railway Museum .
