Jaroměř Railway Museum
The Jaroměř Railway Museum is a railway museum in Jaroměř in the northeast of the Czech Republic .
history
In 1995 a railway museum was built on the site of the former boiler house in Jaroměř. Several historically valuable vehicles from the kkStB and ČSD times are kept in the eight-hour roundhouse .
Jaroměř is a railway junction not far from the town of Hradec Králové , from here railway lines lead to Trutnov , Liberec and the cross-border lines via Náchod to Kłodzko (formerly Glatz) and via Międzylesie (formerly Mittelwalde) to Kamieniec Ząbkowicki (formerly Kamenz). The cross-border connections are of little importance today. For national rail traffic, the rail junction is still of great importance today. a. it shows that the line from Hradec Králové to Jaroměř is electrified.
The exhibition includes several exhibits from the National Technical Museum in Prague , which can occasionally be seen at railway exhibitions in the area. A total of several locomotives and railcars, some of which are in working order, historic passenger and freight cars, trolleys, railway equipment and railway accessories can be seen in Jaroměř .
Visiting the museum without prior appointment is only possible during the summer. Otherwise, guided tours are only possible by prior arrangement.
