İlhan Şahin (born August 30, 1980 in Kartal ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

Club career

İlhan Şahin began club football in the youth of Beşiktaş Istanbul and received a professional contract here in October 1999. Although he continued to play for the reserve team, he also took part in the training of the professionals and made his debut for them on August 15, 1999 in an international match against Samsunspor . By the end of the season he came to eleven first division appearances. The second season as a professional he played exclusively for the professionals and only came to Şahin three missions and was more of a reservist. He spent the 2002/03 season on loan with the first division club Göztepe Izmir .

For the 2003/04 season he moved to the second division Istanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor and made the leap into the starting eleven right away. In the season he rose with this club as the second of the TFF 1st Lig in the Süper Lig . In the Süper Lig, Şahin lost his regular place and left the club at the end of the season.

He was hired for the coming season at the second division Boluspor and played for this club for one and a half seasons.

For the second half of the 2009/10 season he went a league level lower and came to an agreement with his former club and then third division club Göztepe Izmir . With this club he celebrated the championship of the TFF 2nd Lig in the 2010/11 season and thus the direct promotion to the TFF 1st Lig . With his 13 hits, Şahin was instrumental in this success. In his first TFF 1st league season with Göztepe, he was the most accurate player on his team with eleven league goals.

During the winter break of the 2012/13 season he separated from this club after his contract was terminated by mutual agreement with the club's management. For the second half of the season moved within the league to Kartalspor .
