İsmail Türüt

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

İsmail Türüt (born June 8, 1965 in Ambarlık , Rize ) is a politically right-wing conservative folk musician in Turkey . In his songs, Americans , Russians , Kurds , Armenians and other Christians, as well as Turks who support them, are often attacked.

He had a TV show called Türüt Şov . There often came TV appearances from the Turkish singer Ozan Arif . Various political songs were sung, including a. Karar Milletin - Apo asilsin mi asilmasin mi? (“The decision belongs to the people - Should Abdullah Öcalan be hanged or not?”) And Bir it vardi tutmuşlar Marmarise atmişlar. (“There used to be a mutt that was grabbed and thrown into Marmaris .”). Because of these two songs, however, Ismail Türüt and Ozan Arif had to answer in court. The pronounced death sentence was overturned in a later trial and Abdullah Öcalan was sentenced to life imprisonment in İmralı (Greek: Kalolimnos) state prison.

After Arif had written a text for Ismail Türüt in which allegedly the murder of the Armenian journalist Hrant Dink by Ogün Samast was approved, both were on trial again in 2007, but were acquitted in 2009.
