Łukasz Mierzejewski (born August 31, 1982 in Ciechanów ) is a former Polish football player .
Club career
The midfielder began his professional career in 2000 with Legia Warsaw . With Legia he was Polish champion and league cup winner in 2002, but was rarely used and was even relegated to the second team of Legia Warsaw for the second half of the 2001/02 season. For the 2002/03 season Mierzejewski was sold to the Łódzki KS in the 2nd division. Here he was able to convince and after only one season moved to the 1st league promoted Świt Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki . At Świt he played a mixed season and was relegated with the club at the end of the season. 2004 Mierzejewski was then committed by Zagłębie Lubin . He played a total of four seasons with Zagłębie Lubin and was surprisingly Polish champion in 2007. In 2007/08 he changed employers again and signed with Widzew Łódź . Although he was able to convince here, he was forced to relegate to a corruption scandal with the club due to Widzew's involvement. After half a year in the 2nd division , he moved to Cracovia Krakow in the Ekstraklasa in 2008 . At Cracovia he played a leading role and was a regular player. In the 2010/11 season , however, he was often only a substitute. Therefore, he moved to the Greek first division club AO Kavala in the summer of 2011 . However, in the course of the Greek betting and manipulation scandal, the club had to be relegated and played in the fourth highest division, the Delta Ethniki. After six months he moved to the Polish first division promoted Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała . Here he could not assert himself at all and only had 5 games in the Ekstraklasa. For the 2012/2013 season, Mierzejewski moved to the Croatian first division club HNK Rijeka . In Rijeka he was able to find his way back to his old strength and completed 17 league games for the Croatians before returning to Poland for the 2013/2014 season and hired by the second division Górnik Łęczna . Here he was a regular player and rose to the Ekstraklasa with Górnik. In 2017 he ended his active career there.
