Łukasz Ojdana (born December 29, 1990 in Warsaw ) is a Polish jazz musician ( piano , composition).

Act

Ojdana is a graduate of the Jazz and Incidental Music Institute of the Karol Szymanowski Music Academy in Katowice in the piano class. Maciej Fortuna brought him in 2012 for recordings. In 2013 he replaced the pianist Przemysław Raminiak in the Trio RGG, which had been in existence since 2001, which also includes Maciej Garbowski (bass) and Krzysztof Gradziuk (drums) and which is considered to be the representative of contemporary acoustic jazz in Poland. The RGG trio worked with musicians such as Evan Parker , Verneri Pohjola , Samuel Blaser and Trevor Watts . From 2016 he was also a member of the Tomasz Stańko Quartet. In 2020 he released a solo album with Kurpian Songs & Meditations . He also belonged to Anna Gadt's quartet .

Prizes and awards

Ojdana is a scholarship holder of the Minister of Science and Higher Education and a winner of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage Award for Outstanding Artistic Achievement. Ojdana was also involved in Jacek Namysłowski's album Moderate Haste , which was nominated as “Jazz Album of the Year” for the 2015 award from the Polish phono industry Fryderyk .
