The Şərəf-Order ( Azerbaijani : “Şərəf” ordeni , in German: Order of Honor or Order of Honor ) is an order of the Republic of Azerbaijan . When it was introduced in late 2007, it was the fifth highest of eight orders in the Republic of Azerbaijan . Since the end of 2017 he has been the sixth highest order in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
history
The establishment of the Şərəf Order was established on February 16, 2007 together with the establishment of the Dostluq Order by Law No. 248-IIIQ “On the Establishment of the Order of 'Honor' and 'Friendship' of the Republic of Azerbaijan” ( Azərbaycan Respublikasının “Şərəf ”Və“ Dostluq ”ordenlərinin təsis edilməsi haqqında ) decided by the deputies of the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan . The order was officially founded on March 12, 2007 with the signing of Decree No. 2029 by President İlham Əliyev .
The Şərəf Order received a minor revision on November 25, 2013 with the signing of Decree No. 84 with which Law No. 726-IVQD of September 30, 2013 came into force. A change with regard to the wearing of the Şərf order after the Azərbaycan-Bayrağı order or the Rəşadət order , which was newly founded in 2017, was discussed in the National Assembly of the Republic on May 1, 2018, but has not yet come into force.
Award criteria and wearing style
"1. The Order of Şərəf of the Republic of Azerbaijan is awarded to the citizens of Azerbaijan, foreign citizens and stateless persons:
- 1.1. for great services to the state and the people of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
- 1.2. for special services to the statehood of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
- 1.3. for exceptional achievements in the economic, scientific-technical, socio-cultural development of the country;
- 1.4. for great services in the fields of science, culture, literature, art, education and health.
2. The 'Şərəf' order is worn on the left side of the chest and in the presence of other orders and medals of the Azerbaijan Republic according to the 'Azərbaycan-Bayrağı' order. "
