Şinasi Dikmen (* unknown (official date January 5, 1945 ) in Çakırgümüş near Ladik , Province of Samsun , Turkey ) is a German writer and cabaret artist of Turkish- Circassian descent. Together with Muhsin Omurca , he founded the first German-Turkish cabaret, Knobi-Bonbon , in 1986 .

Career

After that he was involved in other cabaret start-ups, e.g. B. in the founding of the KÄS in Frankfurt am Main , which was the first German-Turkish cabaret with a permanent venue in Germany.

Initially, Dikmen, who was an intern at the Ulmer Theater in the late 1970s , where he also acted in Botho Strauss Big and Small , worked as a book author and satirical writer, but learned in 1983 and 1984 through guest appearances on the television program Scheibenwischer with Dieter Hildebrandt and in the Munich Lach- und Schießgesellschaft know the appeal of public appearances as a cabaret artist , just as he recognized the greater public appeal of his own texts in small-scale performances (“The visual art has more effect than reading”). This realization ultimately led to the founding of the first cabaret by migrants of Turkish origin, Knobi-Bonbon , in 1986 , in which the theater director Ralf Milde was also involved. The topic of Turkish integration in Germany is already in cabaret titles such as Caution, Freshly Integrated (1985) or You Shall Not Turk! from 1997.

Von Dikmen, who has lived in Germany since 1972, has published several books with satires to this day, e. B. Hooray, I live in Germany (1995), We'll rock the garlic child (1983) or Integrate dich, Grandpa! (2008). Dikmen also writes glosses for various newspapers and magazines.

As a writer, he is considered important for the development of German-language literature in the Turkish minority in Germany , because he was the first to publish the first publications in the field of satire.

One of his rarer, more extensive appearances on television in recent years was participation in the anniversary program Der Ultimative Religions - Check on the ARD program Horizonte (2012).

Dikmen is a member of the PEN Center Germany .
