Šimon Šmehyl (born February 9, 1994 ) is a Slovak football player .

Career

society

Šmehyl started his career at FC Nitra . For the 2012/13 season he moved into the professional squad of Nitra. In November 2012 he made his debut in the Corgoň league when he came on as a substitute for Cléber on the 16th matchday of that season against FK Dukla Banská Bystrica in the 62nd minute . By the end of the season he came to 18 missions in the top Slovak division, in which he remained without a hit. In May 2014, he scored his first goal for Nitra in the Corgoň liga in a 1-1 draw against DAC Dunajská Streda . At the end of the 2013/14 season he had to relegate to the 2nd league with Nitra as bottom of the table .

After one and a half years in the second division, he moved to the first division club FK Senica in February 2016 . For Senica he came to twelve league appearances by the end of the season. For the 2016/17 season he moved to league competitor TJ Spartak Myjava . For Myjava, he played in the Fortuna League until the winter break. In the winter break of that season Myjava withdrew from the league, whereupon Šmehyl moved to the second division club FK Dukla Banská Bystrica. For Dukla Banská Bystrica he made 13 second division appearances by the end of the season.

For the 2017/18 season he moved to league rivals FC ŠTK Fluminense Šamorín . In one and a half years at Šamorín he came to 45 appearances in the second division, in which he scored five goals. In February 2019 he moved to the Czech Republic for the second division club 1. SC Znojmo . By the end of the season he came to 14 missions for Znojmo in the FNL , from which they were relegated to the end of the season as bottom of the table.

National team

Šmehyl played for the Slovak U-17 team between 2010 and 2011 . Between 2012 and 2013 he was used for the U-19 team . In June 2014 he played his only game for the U-21s against Sweden .
