Štěpán Neuwirth

Štěpán Neuwirth (born February 9, 1944 in Polanka an der Oder ) is a Czech writer and publicist .

Life

Neuwirth's main interest is nature. The forester is actively committed to nature conservation , specifically for the area around the Oder . He currently lives in his birthplace. He is also the spokesman for the Faculty Clinic in Ostrava .

Works

Neuwirth has been working for numerous editorial offices for daily newspapers , magazines , radio and television since 1966 . His stories and seven books mostly deal with nature, whereby he is committed to its protection and ecology . His first extensive work (the Roman Pazderna ) he published under the pseudonym Roman Jiříkovský . In 2003 he received the Egon Erwin Kisch Prize for his book Tep nemocnice .
