Željko Dakić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Жељко Дакић ; born June 27, 1967 in Novi Sad , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Serbian football player .

career

Dakić came in 1992 from FK Vojvodina Novi Sad to Germany for Bayer 05 Uerdingen , with the Werkself he played in the Bundesliga . In the first year the 17th place in the table was occupied. Dakić was relegated and played the next year with the Krefeld team in the 2nd Bundesliga . He then moved to league rivals SV Waldhof Mannheim for one season , before hiring the city neighbor VfR Mannheim . With the VfR he played from the 1995/96 season in the regional league. In the southern season, the second place was occupied, Dakić managed 20 goals to success, so he was third in the top scorer table behind Dragan Trkulja and Markus Beierle . In the subsequent round of the German amateur soccer championship in 1996 , Dakić and his teammates had to admit defeat to SSV Ulm 1846 2-1 in the final . He played two more years in Mannheim, then he moved to his home country for a year and played one season for Vojvodina Novi Sad. Then returned to Germany, where he laced up the shoes for SV Sandhausen , VfR Heilbronn and SG Holz-Kutzhof.
