The busy and slightly confused Professor Aristide Panzarotti invented a time machine in Rome. He has already witnessed the destruction of Pompeii when he tried it out. The FBI interested in the machine sends Agent Sal, accompanied by his buddies Brad and George, to Panzarotti. They get caught in the time machine with which they travel at the time of the attack on Pearl Harbor and the landing in Normandy, and finally arrive in Texas in 1867. The bandit Navajo Joe steals the invention; now the three agents are stuck in the west. In search of the bandit, they are captured by his people. The undertaker Oliver and Yolanda, the daughter of a pastor, help them escape. Eventually they can get the machine back into their possession, travel back to the present and destroy the machine.
