(1134) Kepler is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 25 September 1929 by German astronomer Max Wolf in Heidelberg was discovered.

The asteroid was named after the German natural philosopher and astronomer Johannes Kepler (1571–1630) on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of his death.
