(11572) Schindler is an asteroid of the main belt , on 15 September 1993 by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst at the La Silla Observatory ( IAU code of 809) European Southern Observatory was discovered.

The asteroid was named after the German entrepreneur Oskar Schindler .
