(1199) Geldonia is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on September 14, 1931 by the Belgian astronomer Eugène Joseph Delporte in Ukkel .

The name of the asteroid is from the Latin name of the Belgian place Jodoigne (Dutch: Geldenaken ), the birthplace of the discoverer.
