(1287) Lorcia is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on August 25, 1933 by the Belgian astronomer Sylvain Julien Victor Arend in Ukkel .
The asteroid is named after the wife of the Polish astronomer Tadeusz Banachiewicz .
