(1491) Balduinus is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 23 February 1938 by Belgian astronomer Eugène Joseph Delporte in Ukkel was discovered.

The name of the asteroid is derived from the Latin name of the Belgian king Baudouin I (1930-1993).
