(15955) Johannesgmunden is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on January 26, 1998 by Erich Meyer at the Davidschlag observatory near Linz in Austria .
The asteroid was named after the astronomer Johannes von Gmunden (1380 / 84–1442).
