(1645) Waterfield is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on July 24, 1933 by the German astronomer Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth at the Heidelberg-Königstuhl State Observatory at the University of Heidelberg .
The asteroid is dedicated to the two British astronomers Reginald Lawson Waterfield and William Francis Herschel Waterfield .
