(1751) Herget is a main belt asteroid. He was born on July 27, 1955 at the Goethe Link Observatory at Brooklyn (Indiana) within the Indiana Asteroid Program of the Indiana University discovered.
It was named after Paul Herget , an American astronomer and founder of the Minor Planet Center .
