(1880) McCrosky is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 13 January 1940 by the German astronomer Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth at Heidelberg State Observatory King chair of the University of Heidelberg was discovered.
The asteroid is named after the American astronomer Richard Eugene McCrosky .
