(1973) Colocolo ( 1968 OA ; 1969 VV 1 ; 1972 GO 1 ) is an asteroid of the main belt discovered on July 18, 1968 by the astronomers Carlos Torres and S. Cofré in the Cerro El Roble observatory . He is named after the Cacique the Mapuche named Colo Colo .
