(1995) Hajek ( 1971 UP 1 ) is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on October 26, 1971 by the Czech astronomer Luboš Kohoutek at the Hamburg observatory ( observatory code 029) in Bergedorf .

The asteroid was named in honor of the Bohemian astronomer Tadeáš Hájek .
