(2038) Bistro is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on November 24, 1973 by the Swiss astronomer Paul Wild from the Zimmerwald Observatory at the University of Bern .
The asteroid bears its name on the one hand after the small restaurant, on the other hand it is an allusion to twice (bi) asteroid (1019) Strackea .
