(2166) Handahl is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on August 13, 1936 by the Russian astronomer Grigori Nikolajewitsch Neuimin in Simejis .

The name is derived from Violet Handahl Green , the mother of MPC employee Daniel WE Green .
