(24666) Miesvanrohe is an asteroid of the central main belt , which was discovered on September 8, 1988 by the German astronomer Freimut Börngen at the Thuringian State Observatory Tautenburg ( IAU code 033) in Thuringia .
The asteroid was named on August 4, 2001 after the German-American architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886–1969).
