(249010) Abdel-Samad is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on August 26, 2007 by the German amateur astronomer Rolf Apitzsch at the Wildberg Observatory .

The asteroid was named on February 18, 2011 after the Egyptian-German political scientist Hamed Abdel-Samad (* 1972).
