(2768) Gorky is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 6 September 1972 by the Soviet astronomer Ljudmyla Schurawlowa the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory in Nautschnyj was discovered.

The asteroid is named after the Russian writer Maxim Gorky .
