(2843) Yeti is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on December 7, 1975 by the Swiss astronomer Paul Wild from the Zimmerwald Observatory at the University of Bern .

The asteroid is named after the Yeti , the mythical creature from the Himalayas.
