(2885) Palva is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 7 October 1939 by the Finnish astronomer Yrjö Väisälä at Turku was discovered.
The name of the asteroid is reminiscent of the Finnish ear doctor and son-in-law of the explorer Tauno Palva .
