(4802) Khatchaturian is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on October 23, 1989 by the German astronomer Freimut Börngen at the Thuringian state observatory in Tautenburg ( IAU code 033).

The asteroid was named in 1991 after the Armenian composer Aram Khatchaturian (1903–1978).
