(7199) Brianza is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 28 March 1994 by the Italian astronomer Marco Cavagna and Valter Giuliani on Osservatorio di Sormano ( IAU code was discovered 587).
The asteroid was named after the Brianza landscape , which lies between the cities of Milan , Como and Lecco . At the same time the name is a reference to the 'Gruppo Astrofili Brianza', an association of amateur astronomers to which the explorers belong.
