(8554) Gabreta is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 25 May 1995 by Miloš Tichý at Kleť Observatory in the Czech Republic was discovered.
The name Gabreta is an old, probably Celtic name for the Bohemian Forest . It was mentioned for the first time by Strabo in his Geographika in the first century.
