(8734) Warner is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 1 January 1997 by the American Italo- astronomer Paul G. Comba at Prescott Observatory ( observatory code in 684) Arizona was discovered.
The asteroid was named on April 2, 1999 after the American astronomer Brian D. Warner (* 1952), who was the editor of the monthly Minor Planet Observer for more than eight years .
