(959) Arne is an asteroid of the main belt , which on 30 September 1921 by the German astronomer Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth at Heidelberg State Observatory King chair of the University of Heidelberg was discovered.

The asteroid is named after the son of the Swedish astronomer Bror Ansgar Asplind .
