-minu [ ˈminu ] (actually Hans-Peter Hammel ; born June 16, 1947 in Basel ) is a Swiss journalist , writer and TV presenter as well as a Basel city ​​original .

His exalted writing style is characteristic. He is a local celebrity in the greater Basel area , but also known in the rest of German-speaking Switzerland and Alsace .

Life

Hans-Peter Hammel attended secondary school and then a journalism school . Since 1967 he has been writing weekly columns for the current Basler Zeitung as well as guest columns for other Swiss newspapers . -Minu has had its own cooking show ( Kuchiklatsch ) on Telebasel since 2000 , in which he surprises celebrities from the region with a recipe specially tailored to them. Since January 2008 -minu also has its own program on Telebasel with the title -minus month . He is also the author of several cookbooks. His columns and stories have appeared in numerous volumes.

Hammel has lived with his partner in Basel, Alsace and Italy since 1968 , where he also writes stories about Italy. In 2017 they entered into a registered partnership .

In 2018 -minu announced that at the age of 69, he contracted the HI virus while having unprotected sex with another man .
