The 2007/08 season was the 15th regular staging of the first division , the second Slovak ice hockey division . The champions were HC 05 Banská Bystrica , which was promoted directly to the extra league.
mode
In the main round, each of the 15 teams played a total of 42 games. The four best-placed teams after the main round qualified for the playoff quarter-finals, while the teams in places 5 to 12 already started in the pre-playoffs. For the other three teams, the season ended prematurely. Each team received three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime, and one point for a defeat after overtime. No points were awarded for a defeat after normal time.
