The 1993/94 season was the first regular staging of the first division , the second Slovak ice hockey division . The champions were HK Spartak Dubnica , who rose directly to the extra league.

In the main round, each of the ten teams played a total of 36 games. The first place after the end of the season was automatically promoted to the extra league. Each team received two points for a win and one point for a draw. No points were awarded for a defeat after normal time.
