10 Hudson Yards (also known as the Hudson Yards South Tower and Coach Tower ) is a skyscraper in New York City .

Construction of the building began at the end of 2012, with the groundbreaking officially taking place in January 2013. The tower stands at the so-called Hudson Yards - a district in the far west of Manhattan . The name is derived from the Hudson River , which marks the western edge of Manhattan Island. The street address is 10th Avenue and West 30th Street . A huge building complex will be built there, similar to that of the new World Trade Center .

The first plans for the project were presented in summer 2011. 10 Hudson Yards should be 273 meters high and have 52 floors. The building is designed as a pure office tower, with Coach (an international handbag manufacturer) providing the main tenant. The renowned American architecture firm Kohn Pedersen Fox was commissioned to develop the construction plans . The building is to be completely provided with a glass facade and top off with a sloping flat roof. In addition, the tower is to be integrated into the New York High Line . With the planned extension of underground line No. 7 , the complex is also easily accessible to the public.

The skyscraper is to receive LEED Gold certification. 10 Hudson Yards reached its final height in early December 2015. The official opening took place on June 2nd, 2016.

The top 5 floors are used by the German software company SAP .
