112 is a music quartet from Atlanta , USA . Their music is a mix of hip-hop , gospel , R'n'B and soul . The band name is borrowed from a club where Sean Combs saw the band perform live.
Band history
The quartet took their first musical steps through appearances at talent shows, in schools or churches, where they met managers Courtney Sills and Kevin Wales. Through these two they met Sean “P. Diddy "Combs know, who with his label Bad Boy Entertainment under contract took.
The band released the single Only You in 1996 and a remixed version of the song, which also featured The Notorious BIG . The album 112 was also successful in the charts and was able to achieve double platinum status . The group released several successful singles and albums before switching from P. Diddy's Bad Boy label to Def Jam in 2005 . The album Pleasure & Pain was released there in the same year .
