2004 XP 14 is an asteroid that was discovered on December 10, 2004 by the sky surveillance program LINEAR . Since it crosses the earth's orbit at a short distance, it is classified as a near-earth object .
On July 3, 2006, it passed the earth at a distance of almost 433,000 kilometers, which is slightly more than the distance between the earth and the moon . The closest distance to earth was reached in 2004 by XP 14 for observers in Europe, however, in the daytime sky . The asteroid had a speed of about 63,000 kilometers per hour.
