- 10th year of reign of the Assyrian and Babylonian king Asarhaddon (671 to 670 BC): The attack on Egypt begins on June 16 ( 3rd Du'uzu ). Pharaoh Taharqa loses this and two other battles (June 29th and July 1st). On July 5th, Assarhaddon conquered Memphis . Taharqa flees; his son Nisuonuris and a brother are captured.
