Private life

This earned him some ridicule but also sincere respect in the macho NBA. It is said that his Lakers teammates once bet for a season which woman would seduce Green on the many away trips, and the pot grew to over $ 600. Once, according to Lakers team-mate Michael Cooper , a Laker sent "the most beautiful woman in the world" to Green's hotel room and they really thought "they were going to get him." The next morning, however, Green was reciting Bible verses, and the colleagues knew their mission had failed. Green married his wife Veronique in 2002, now runs basketball camps and continues to preach the Christian lifestyle and sexual abstinence as a way to a better life.

After all, Green was known for his lifelong struggle with chronic hiccups . His seizures were so bad that he could only sleep two hours a night for his entire career.
