Course of the road

The A832 road is an A-road in the Scottish Council Area Highland . It begins west of Drumnadrochit at the junction of the A831 and leads over moorland and through scattered settlements to the confluence with the A862 south of Beauly . It thus represents a western bypass of Inverness in the traffic relationship between the Great Glen and the northeastern parts of the Highlands .
course
The starting point of the A833 is in the small town of Milton west of Drumnadrochit on the west bank of Loch Ness , where it branches off from the A831. It initially climbs steeply and curves north from Glen Urquhart . From the watershed it runs over the open moorland north of Drumnadrochit, in which there are only a few scattered settlements along the road. The road gradually descends into Glen Convinth , through which the Belladrum Burn , a tributary of the River Beauly , flows. Only a few kilometers before the end of the A833 does the settlement along the road become denser. Via the C1108 branching off to the west, Kiltarlity is connected to the A833, the capital of the Parish of Kiltarlity and Convinth , which also includes the other scattered settlements along the A833. At Brochies Corner the A833 joins the A862, which can be used to reach Inverness to the east and Beauly and Dingwall to the north .
