The A929 as King Street in the city center | |
The A929 road is an A-road in the Scottish Council Area Dundee . The road connects the Kingsway , the outer ring road formed by the A90 ( Edinburgh - Fraserburgh ) and A972 , with the inner city ring made up of A92 ( Dunfermline - Stonehaven ) and A991 . It thus forms one of the main arteries of the city by providing a significant access from the north to the city center and the Tay Road Bridge over the Firth of Tay .
course
In the north, the A929 begins at the junction of the A972 into the A90, which is separated by two linked roundabouts, which leaves the outer ring road at this point in a northerly direction. First as Forfar Road and after the confluence with Pitkerro Road as Albert Street , the A929 heads south towards the city center. After a distance of 1.3 km, the course of the road splits. Albert Street, after crossing the B959 initially as Princess Street , later as King Street , leads in a south-westerly direction to its confluence with the inner city ring . The opposite direction is continued north via Arthurstone Terrace , Dens Road and Victoria Road . It branches off from the inner city ring at a roundabout on the north side.
