The AEG CI (KZ9) was the AEG's first armed aircraft model in 1915 . She was a two-seat reconnaissance aircraft and up to the engine and the arming of the same design as the AEG B.II . The CI was a two-post double - decker with a six-cylinder in-line Benz Bz III engine .

The aircraft was equipped with a turntable mounted machine gun at the observer seat .
