The AEG B.II was a two-seat unarmed reconnaissance aircraft and the successor to the AEG BI . It came out in late 1914. The B.II was a two-post (the previous model was three- post ) double-decker with a Mercedes -D.II in-line engine. The cell consisted of a canvas-covered frame made of wood and tubular steel.

The B.II was supposed to be an improved version of the predecessor BI, but the main weaknesses, namely the inappropriately installed engine and the aerodynamically unfortunate radiator, were not eliminated.

The model was only used in small numbers by the Luftwaffe between 1914 and 1915, and its low speed and lack of armor meant that the aircraft was soon decommissioned.

The successor model was the AEG B.III .
