The AEG B.III was the last two-seat unarmed reconnaissance aircraft of the Allgemeine Elektricitäts-Gesellschaft , aircraft construction department , Hennigsdorf . It was also used as a training aircraft. The B.III was a two-post double - decker with a Mercedes D.II in- line engine. It differed only slightly from its predecessor, the AEG B.II , and its design was seen as a deterioration compared to the B.II.

The CI model is the successor .
