The Asian Highway 12 (AH12) ( English for 'Asian Highway 12') is a stretch of the Asian Highway Project with a total length of 1195 km.
Similar to the European roads, existing routes are also given the designation "AH12". The participating states have committed to increasing the standard of the transnational roads.
The highway leading from Nateuy , Laos ( AH3 ) to Muang Xay , Luang Prabang , Vang Vieng , Vientiane , Nong Khai , Udon Thani , Khon Kaen , Nakhon Ratchasima , Saraburi , up to Hin Kong ( District Nong Khae , Saraburi province , Thailand ) ( AH1 ).
This north-south stretch of the Asian Highway, AH12, has been completely completed since April 8, 1994 and financed independently by the countries of Laos and Thailand. Except for the associated first Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge was supported by the Australian 30 million government dollars as development assistance provided.
